These projections have since been superseded. The latest release is the 2024 NSW population projections, published in November 2024.

The 2024 projections are available at https://www.planning.nsw.gov.au/data-and-insights/population-projections.

Official NSW population projections are updated twice in a five-year cycle. The schedule for these updates is linked to the timing of Australia's census.
