Woollahra Municipal Council

Woollahra Municipal Council (or Woollahra Council) is a local government area in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, NSW. Woollahra is bounded by Sydney Harbour in the north, Waverley Council in the east, Randwick City in the south and the City of Sydney in the west. It has a population of over 59,300 people in an area of 12.3 sq Km. The administrative centre of Woollahra Municipal Council is located in Double Bay.

Woollahra Council through its Floodplain Risk Management Committee is currently preparing comprehensive floodplain studies for the following catchments:

  • Rushcutters Bay - which includes Paddington and parts of Edgecliff, Woollahra, Rushcutters Bay and Darling Point
  • Double Bay - which includes Double Bay and parts of Woollahra, Bellevue Hill and Edgecliff
  • Rose Bay - which includes Rose Bay and part of Bellevue Hill, Vaucluse and Waverley Council
  • Watsons Bay
