North Sydney Council

North Sydney Council is a local government area on the lower north shore of Sydney, New South Wales of only 10.90 km² but a population of over 72,000. The area is bounded by Willoughby to the north and north-west, Manly to the north-east, Mosman to the east, Lane Cove to the west and Sydney Harbour to the south.North Sydney Council is located in the suburb of North Sydney, approximately 3 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district.

North Sydney Council and the NSW Government, as part of the Floodplain Management grant, has completed the North Sydney LGA Wide Flood Study 2016 to begin the process of identifying flood prone land in accordance with the NSW State Government's Floodplain Development Manual. https://www.northsydney.nsw.gov.au/Floodstudy
