Map from report: Forestry Commission of NSW (1989). Research Note No. 17: Forest Types in New South Wales. Sydney.
Some 192 forest types described in the report, divided into three major groups: rainforest structure, sclerophyll forest and woodland communities which are typically dominated by eucalypts, and those other types which are artificially created or lack a dominance of trees.
