Description
DCCEEW CPHR is monitoring water levels, flow, rainfall and water temperature across NSW to inform the management of environmental health, system operations and emergency responses, and water resource assessment monitoring. Catchments include the Murray, Murrumbidgee, north coast, south coast, Gwydir, Hunter, Greater metropolitan, Lachlan and Macquarie-Castlereagh. This database of hydrometric stations was compiled by DCCEEW CPHR’s Water for the Environment team in August 2025 and is a snapshot in time. The Water for the Environment team use the water quantity and quality data collected from the hydrometric stations to support the development and calibration of water models.
