The Geological Survey of NSW has developed a major NSW operating mineral mines layer by harvesting Geoscience Australia operating mine data and internally reviewing and updating the listing. Only select major operational mine sites were included in this layer with additional industrial mine sites identified. This data has subsequently been released as a static map layer as part of Common Ground https://commonground.nsw.gov.au/#!/ an online web application that provides a clear explanation of mining and production title processes.
