Foliar moisture content of forests and woodlands (2015-2024).

This dataset comprises a series of statewide spatial layers derived from a time series of foliar moisture content (FMC) spanning 2015–2024 across forest and woodland ecosystems. FMC values were estimated from Sentinel‑2 surface reflectance data and modelled using a random forest emulator of a radiative transfer model. The dataset includes spatial summaries of FMC, specifically the 5th and 95th percentiles, mean, standard deviation, and total values, providing long‑term statistical characterisation of foliar moisture dynamics across New South Wales.

This work has been partially funded by the NSW Koala Research Plan, project 2019_04. The dataset is directly associated with the PhD thesis: Kotzur, I. (2024).
