This dataset includes animal vehicle strike observations according to NSW BioNet records.

NSW BioNet is the repository for biodiversity data products managed by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (the department). BioNet aims to improve biodiversity outcomes by enabling the community and government to proactively manage and enhance biodiversity in New South Wales through comprehensive, credible and robust data and information.

Observations of Animal Vehicle Strike in BioNet data has been defined as:

• Road Injured
• Road Kill
• Wildlife rehabilitator records indicating ‘collision’ or ‘collision with motor vehicle’
