The Vegetation Survey of Lane Cove National Park was carried out in 2001 to investigate the native flora within Lane Cove National Park and the selected adjacent bushland areas inclusive of Pennant Hills Park. Data collected in the course of this study allowed the National Parks and Wildlife Service to initiate a strategic planning approach to bushland management in the Lane Cove River catchment and ultimately to more effectively allocate resources for bushland rehabilitation and site maintenance works.
