    The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) has been developed to ensure a fair, efficient and transparent allocation of the education budget for every school. The model, introduced in phases, recognises that students and school communities are not all the same they have different needs and require different levels of support. **Data Notes:** * In 2016 NSW public schools will receive the third year of additional funding made possible through the Gonski agreement. The data shows the average FOEI, 2016 RAM funding and the change from the 2015 needs based funding delivered through the RAM using methodology consistent with the recommendations of the Gonski review. * The 2017 preliminary RAM total funding includes existing RAM and other program funding allocated to schools in 2016, and additional funding provided as part of the Gonski/NERA agreement. * Changes in a school's funding are a result of changes to student need, student enrolments and the ending of the low SES National Partnership. ** Data Source:**
