DescriptionGeneral Cultural Line is a lineal man-made feature defining general cultural data feature types, but excluding transport data.

Feature Types in this layer include:

Racecourse - A piece of ground on which horse races are held for public entertainment; any place where horse races are held. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the racecourse dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

BMX Track - A track for racing or recreational use of BMX bikes. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the BMX track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

Athletics Track - A track for racing or recreational use for athletics. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the athletics track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

Training Track - A track set aside for training which is not a race track. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the training track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

Cycling Track - A track designed for bicycle racing, for example Velodrome. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the cycling track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

Trotting Track - A track primarily used for the training or racing of trotting horses. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the trotting track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

Dog Track - A track designed for dog racing. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the dog track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

Motor Racing Track - A Racetrack where motorsport races are held. This line feature dataset is part of Spatial Services Defined Administrative Data Sets. Where possible, line geometries of the motor racing track dataset align to the topographic and cadastral databases.

AccuracyThe dataset maintains a \npositional relationship to, and alignment with, a range of themes from \nthe NSW FSDF including, transport, imagery, positioning, water and land \ncover.
This dataset was captured by utilising the best available \nsource at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to \n1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, \nStandards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature\n instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined \npoints. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = \n12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m.\u00a0A program to upgrade the spatial location and accuracy of data is ongoing.
