The water balance tool presents monthly water balance volumes (losses and gains) at a reach scale. This Dashboard (see the External Links section in SEED) shows how an initial value (the upstream flow) also known as the starting ‘balance’, is affected by a series of increases (e.g, rainfall, gauged inflow, ungauged inflow) and decreases (e.g., evaporation, change in storage, loss, extraction, diversion) that occurred, and the end ‘balance’ value remaining which is the downstream measured flow. All figures are in Megalitres (ML).
