    Hire of school facilities revenue as included in the NSW Department of Education’s Annual Report, and as included in individual NSW government school Annual Reports. **Data Notes:** * The NSW Department of Education encourages local communities to use school buildings, grounds, playing fields and facilities for appropriate purposes. * The principal is responsible for approving the community use of school facilities following consultation with the school community. School facilities must only be used for activities consistent with the Values in NSW public schools policy. * Shared use of school facilities should not be a financial burden to the school or the department. Schools may charge appropriate usage fees or, in some cases, provide free use of facilities.
