Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) collects offshore wave data at seven continuously recording sites off the NSW coast. Buoys are located off Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, Crowdy Head, Sydney, Port Kembla, Batemans Bay and Eden. To provide deepwater wave data, the buoys are typically moored in water depths between 70 and 100 metres, between 6 and 12 kilometres from the shoreline. This webpage provides data for Wave Height, Wave Direction, Wave Period, and Sea Temperature. Latest available sea surface temperature can also be found from the [CSIRO Marine Research Remote Sensing Project](Previously: http://www.marine.csiro.au/~lband/, currently: https://rs-data3-mel.csiro.au/nrt-sst/).
