The DMR NSW proposes to construct a link road from the planned National Highway near Estelville (west of Newcastle) to the Newcastle District. Overall objectives are to provide a link road which will maximise the efficiency of traffic movements between the national highway and the Newcastle district while minimising any adverse impacts on the natural and social environment affected.
