This data has generally been supplied by lead water agencies.\r\n\r\nThe Bureau will continue to work to expand the number of [water information categories](http://www.bom.gov.au/water/regulations/categoriesWaterAuxNav.shtml) and water monitoring stations presented. The period of record for some locations starts in the late 19th century. Water Data Online does not display near real time, or flood data.
