What is data.nsw.gov.au?

data.NSW brings together a list of NSW Government datasets available in one searchable website. The NSW Government aims to make data more accessible to the public and to industry to stimulate innovative approaches to service delivery.

data.nsw.gov.au is part of the Open Data initiative of the NSW ICT Strategy, within NSW Department of Finance and Services.

NSW has been publishing government data online since 2009. In 2013 a new, upgraded version of data.nsw makes it easier for people to access datasets uploaded by government agencies with advanced search functions.
